Story

Dylan first met Karen and I through business and we became fast friends. The type of friends who might not see one another for a few months due to the rush of modern life, but when they do get a chance to meet up, conversation and laughter flow like no time has passed.

When Dylan and Emma's amazing daughter Ruby was diagnosed with Leukaemia, we followed her treatment - as parents of two daughters ourselves, we were particularly aware of the frustrations parents feel when their kids get sick - you just want to ease their burden and fix it. You'd take the illness on yourselves in a heartbeat if you could.

We could only watch from afar as she went through round after round of treatment. We felt helpless and when she died, our hearts broke for our friends.

Losing their wonderful daughter Ruby at 18 was had a massive impact on Dylan, Emma and Tabitha - and the support we could offer was limited.

Live Kindly Live Loudly Fund was set up in her memory and allowed us to support the work to fund research into T-cell Lymphoma and find better treatments and cures to childhood cancers in her name.

It is a Special Named Fund at CCLG - The Children and Young Persons Cancer Association set up in memory of Ruby Fuller.

Since 2009 Paul had done various fundraising challenges for charity - including running the London Marathon on three occasions. Injuries have impacted what he can do in recent years - but in 2026 the scene is set for some epic adventures.

Paul will be running The Reverse London marathon from one minute past midnight on 25th April. Karen is running too - her first marathon adventure.

The event presents several challenges - particularly as Karen is registered blind.

Go big, or go home they say - and "NODNOL" is the warm up of our fundraising efforts in 2026 which continue in July.

Paul will be using the marathon in his training towards the 24hr Spitfire Scramble in July. (https://www.spitfirescramble.co.uk/) where he will be running in the solo male event and trying to amass over 100km across the 24hr ultra - 10 or more laps of the 9.25km route.

We'd love your support!
