Say Hello to Twiggy! A seven-year-old Patterdale Terrier with a whole lot of sass, sparkle, and a heart that beats for one very special someone.

Hi everyone, I’m Twiggy! I’m a small but mighty Patterdale Terrier, and I’ve been living here at RATS for nearly four years now. I’ve got quite the personality - and I’m not afraid to show it!

Now, let me tell you something important - I have the most amazing boyfriend. You might’ve heard of him... he’s Andy, the King of the Kennels! We’re absolutely inseparable. We share a kennel, go on all our adventures side by side, and basically run this place together. He’s my king, which obviously makes me his queen!

When I see people I know and love, my whole body wiggles with joy - from my nose right down to the tip of my tail! I adore attention and fuss. I mean, who wouldn’t want to be told they’re beautiful and brilliant on a daily basis? (Which, let’s be honest, happens a lot because… well, look at me.)

But I want to be honest with you - I’m what the staff here call a "complex lady”. Sometimes, I can get a bit... snappy. It usually happens when I’m protecting something really special, like my favourite treat or toy. And sometimes I get overwhelmed - especially when someone’s putting my lead on or giving me fuss for just a little too long. I don’t mean to be difficult, I promise - it’s just the way my brain is wired. Luckily, the lovely humans at RATS totally understand me and give me the space and support I need.

Now, I adore Andy, but when it comes to other dogs… let’s just say I’m a bit choosy. Because of that - and some of my quirks - only the staff handle me directly. But please don’t feel sorry for me! I’ve got a fantastic little gang of walkers who know me inside out. They take me on exciting adventures and always make sure I’m happy and safe.

The truth is, RATS isn’t just where I live - it’s my forever home. Some people might think that’s a little sad, but it’s actually perfect for me. I’m surrounded by people who love and understand me, I get to see my Andy every day, and I have a life full of walks, sniffs, and wiggly greetings.

Yes, I can be a bit naughty. Yes, I’ve got my complicated moments. But the people here see the loving, loyal, excited little girl I really am - and they make sure I get to live my very best life.
