Oscar's Wish Foundation (OWF) offers comfort and support to parents, family, friends and siblings who have experienced the devastating loss of a precious baby before, during or shortly after birth.

Our story

In 2024, sadly we lost our baby boy late in the pregnancy. He was born on 25th December and we named him Lapin.

During a time of unimaginable sadness, pain and confusion OWF offered the most incredible support to us both, in ways we did not even know we needed at the time.

They thought of everything. On the day Lapin was born they provided a hospital room so we had the privacy to go through labour and a peaceful space to meet and spend time with him.

In the months following Lapin’s birth, OWF offered guidance on the practical elements, such as registering his death and organising the funeral. Alongside this was bereavement counselling, which proved invaluable in helping us to process what had happened.

Even now, a year on, they are always just a phone call away.

Oscar’s Wish Foundation is a small but vital charity and they rely entirely on donations to offer this incredible wrap round support. It’s a service no one wants to have use, but when the worst happens it’s there to guide you and provide some comfort.

The money we raise means they can continue to offer families like ours support in their time of need.
