Squad Goals raising money for The Never Alone Project

Daniel Brewster is raising money for The Never Alone Project

The JLR Challenge 2.0 2025 · 27 September 2025

The Never Alone Project (TNAP) is an organisation based in Northamptonshire that aims to support bereaved children and their families through face to face provision and an on-line service. We stand together as a community to reduce isolation and create a safe space to deal with grief.

Story

Squad Goals is a team of 6 colleagues at Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) will be taking part in the JLR Challenge 2.0 on 27th September 2025, an intra-company team challenge of hiking and activities. It's the 5th time Dan Brewster has captained this team, so there's is plenty of hard-won experience and year-on-year improvement. 2025 marks the first year of the event being held at Eastnor Castle, and against a random drawn opposing teams, this represents a good opportunity to score well and place higher than before.

The team will be raising money for The Never Alone Project (TNAP). Dan's neighbour and founder of TNAP, and her two children went through the loss of three relatives in quick succession and found that there was next to no support for grieving children. Turning a negative into a positive Ilze Lee founded TNAP, achieving Charity Status in 2023 (Registered Charity Number 1201585).

TNAP currently serves Northamptonshire and slightly beyond, with the aim of reaching further and helping more people through grief counselling, facilitating children and young people groups, working with schools, and also the pre-bereaved (where families find themselves with a member that has a terminal diagnosis), plus many other services.

Squad Goals wants to raise money that will be directly donated to TNAP to help fund its activities and help more children and families. Last year JLR match-funded the money we raised.

In TNAPs own words:

We are Northamptonshire’s leading bereavement charity, dedicated to helping people through grief. While we have a strong focus on bereaved children, we also provide compassionate support, safe spaces, and practical tools for others navigating loss. No one should face grief alone—we are here to help.
