Story
On Tuesday 22 September 2026, the Office for Students Sports and Social Club (SSC) will be bringing colleagues together for a charity coffee morning, bake sale and photography exhibition in support of St Peter's Hospice.
The event will bring colleagues together across our Bristol and London offices to enjoy coffee and cake, celebrate colleagues' creativity and support a local charity that provides outstanding care and support to adults living with life-limiting illness, as well as those closest to them.
Colleagues are also generously donating home-baked and shop-bought cakes and treats to help raise money for the hospice. To support colleagues with allergies and dietary requirements, ingredient information will be displayed alongside all items and contributors are encouraged to avoid using nuts where possible.
As part of the event, colleagues are invited to enter the SSC Summer Photography Competition, themed 'A summer of connection'.
Entry costs £2.50 per photograph, with all proceeds going to St Peter's Hospice.
A shortlist of entries will be displayed at our photography exhibition on 22 September, where colleagues will have an opportunity to view and vote for their favourites.
The overall winning entry will receive a complimentary place at the SSC winter social, taking place on Thursday 10 December 2026 at M Shed, Bristol.
Colleagues can also support the fundraiser by buying cakes and refreshments at the event.
Cakes and refreshments will be available for:
• £1.50 per cake or traybake item
• £2.00 for larger or premium bakes.
If you would like to make an additional contribution to St Peter's Hospice through the SSC charity coffee morning, bake sale and photography exhibition, you can do so through this page.
If you would like to make a separate donation directly to St Peter's Hospice, please consider donating through the hospice's website: https://www.stpetershospice.org/make-a-donation/
Whether you are entering the photography competition, buying a slice of cake, or making a donation, your support will help St Peter's Hospice continue providing compassionate care and support to people and families when they need it most.
Thank you for your support.
