5K walk · 8 July 2025

St Catherine’s cares for patients and families who are affected by life-shortening conditions, at the hospice and in people’s own homes across Chorley, Preston and South Ribble. Our specialist care helps people enjoy the best possible quality of life to the end of life.

Story

The children in year 6 at St Aidan's Church of England Primary school in Blackburn are taking part in a 5K walk in aid of St Catherine's Hospice.

St Catherine's provides palliative and end-of-life care and support for the people of Central Lancashire, through specialised services at the hospice and in people’s own homes. They help people facing life-shortening conditions like cancer, motor neurone disease and heart failure to enjoy the best possible quality of life to the end of life. It costs more than £5m to run the charity every single year. They rely on the amazing efforts and wonderful generosity of supporters like you to help raise the funds they need.

Any donation, big or small, is always welcome.
