Story
Hi everyone,
The charity event is back — and bigger than ever!
We are taking on 24 hours of continuous running in support of Prostate Cancer UK! St Chris has a long and proud history of supporting charities and on Friday 24th April – Saturday 25th April the St Chris Community will once again be running non-stop for 24 hours around our school athletics track (apologies in advance to the Grounds Team…). The rules are simple: starting at 08:30am on Friday morning and finishing at 08:30am Saturday morning, at least one person must be running or walking around the track at all times. Of course, more than one person can run at once — the more the merrier — and we will be tracking our total distance to see just how far we can go! After last year, we are aiming to beat our previous total and push ourselves even further.
This will be a real test of organisation, fitness, and determination, so we are asking for donations for a fantastic charity chosen this year: Prostate Cancer UK. They carry out essential work funding research, raising awareness, and supporting those affected by one of the most common cancers in men. Prostate cancer affects 1 in 8 men in the UK, which shows how important early diagnosis and improved treatment really are. The charity works to improve testing, fund life-saving research, and support individuals and families during incredibly difficult times. Every step we take will help make a genuine difference in the fight against this disease.
Get involved, get cheering, and help us make this year even bigger and better!
