Story
In Year 6, as part of our RE, geography and English curriculum, we have been learning about the factors that affect migration including becoming refugees and the issue of homelessness. As a result, we are planning for Year 6 to 'sleep out' from 2-6pm on Friday 17th October.
The aim of this event is to encourage the children to consider the plight of the homeless, especially as we are heading towards winter and the cold that it brings. We hope that taking part in events like these will foster the citizenship our faith as Catholics expects. We will be donating money raised to CRISIS - a charity that works tirelessly to help the homeless into education and work so they can be safe and leave homelessness behind them.
