St John's College School is raising money for The British Red Cross Society
Story
Over 44,000 people are reported to have lost their lives due to powerful earthquakes in southern Turkey (Türkiye) and northern Syria. This Friday, pupils at both Senior House and Byron House are invited to dress as a book character for Book Week and are encouraged to donate just £1 to our Just Giving page to raise funds for the The British Red Cross Turkey-Syria Earthquake Appeal.
Your donations will provide support and aid which includes:
o Distributing essentials like food water and blankets
o Setting up temporary shelters to support thousands of survivors who are facing freezing conditions
o Providing first aid and crisis support
o Assisting with the rescue efforts and getting people vital medical aid
o Providing psychosocial support to those who have been traumatised
