St Michael's's fundraiser for The Big Lent Walk (CAFOD)
St Michaels Catholic Primary School is raising money for The Catholic Agency for Overseas Development (CAFOD)
Story
As we are thinking about being Pilgrims of Hope during this Jubilee year, we thought joining the Cafod Big Lent Walk would be a great help on our faith journey.
Every class has been joining in and we're pleased to say that we have walked 5,069 kilometres in total!
That means as pilgrims we could have walked -
7 km to the Shrine of Our Lady at Abercynon
13 km to the shrine of Our Lady of Penrhys
1123 km to Lourdes
1807 km to Santiago de Compostela
1946 km to Fatima
2030 km to Rome
4841 km to Jerusalem!
CAFOD works with local partners and communities across the world - responding to emergencies, promoting long-term development and raising public awareness of the causes of poverty. We work with people of all faiths and none for a safe, sustainable and peaceful world.
