Thousands of people take part in Ride+Stride every year to raise funds to support their local churches and county historic churches trusts.

JOIN THE RIDE+STRIDE FUNDRAISER : SAT 12TH SEPT

Every year, St Peter’s Church Parochial Church Council (PCC) raise funds for our beloved church by seeking sponsorship for the Gloucestershire Historic Churches Trust annual Ride+Stride. Taking place on Saturday 12 September, Ride+Stride is a sponsored event to visit churches by bike, walking or any other means of travel, to raise funds for the restoration and preservation of churches and chapels in Gloucestershire and North Bristol. In addition, each church that is open welcomes visitors with refreshments and an offer of a tour.

Last year Southrop raised just under £2000. Half of the funds that are raised come back to St Peter's Southrop and in addition, in 2025, the Church received a grant of £2,000 from the Trust towards the cost of repairing the Church Bells.
