Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
As if finding my feet in a whole new career and getting married this year wasn’t enough to be contending with, in true Stacey fashion I have decided to make it even harder for myself by throwing in a fundraising effort too……I like to keep things interesting 😂 27th May 2024 marks 20 years since my gran passed away from cancer. In those 20 years there’s been so many landmarks in my life that she should have been a part of, one of those being my wedding to Fiona on 8th June this year. As a way of having her on this journey with me, I have decided to run 10km and cycle 10km every week until the wedding (23 weeks in total so 230km run and 230km cycled) to raise money for Cancer Research to help find a cure for by this horrible disease and help other families share those landmarks with their loved ones. It doesn’t sound like a lot, but for someone who hates running, along with an extremely busy work life and rugby, it’s going to be one hell of a challenge for me. I’m also going to continue to do the race for life for the 21st year in a row.
I’ll keep a spreadsheet of every km covered and will post regular updates on social media to keep myself accountable.
I appreciate times are hard for everyone right now but however much, or little, you can spare would be massively appreciated 💪❤️
