Story
Jensen will be taking on a challenge in May to run ( un aided with out his wheel chair ) , swim ( with his swim aid to keep him afloat) and ride his balance bike all in aid of raising funds to go towards building a coffee shop at his school .
This project will not only benefit Jensen but all 80+ students who all have multi complex health needs significant physical and sensory difficulties and complex medical conditions, such as significant epilepsy , significant visual impairment , significant hearing impairment and respiratory support needs.
This project will enhance our children life skills , skills that they will take forward into adulthood provide social and interaction skills , fine/gross motor skills , Independence skills and give our children a much needed opportunity to gain a secure social meet up .
Not only will this project help our students and their families but also the wider community. It will provide opportunities for local businesses or organisations to work with our students to teach them about where their food comes from, sustainability and promote local suppliers and producers. Furthermore, the coffee shop will create an accessible space for the local community to connect, collaborate, and grow together.
So please get behind Jensen this is by far his biggest challenge to date .
