On April the 28th I will be taking part in the Kilt walk 2024 for My Support Day a charity that I not only work for, but one that I can personally relate to.

My Support Day provides support to families affected by someone else's substance use throughout South Lanarkshire. Support for families is crucial however, families themself do not see the need at times. They think that as long as their loved one is okay, they will be okay. This is not the case Families need support just as much or more than the loved one going through their journey.

Here at My Support Day we have a new project Family Recovery Everyone Everywhere, a very unique and important service for families affected by someone else's substance use and loss of a loved on due to substance use and suicide.

We aim to raise money by taking on the 'Mighty Stride' walk. For anyone that knows me, they will know that this will be a challenge for myself. A challenge worth taking on for such an amazing charity!
