Yorkshire Three Peaks · 4 September 2026

We offer free, UK-wide, accessible online grief support to children and young people (up to 25) who are bereaved or facing the death of someone important, and the parents and carers of babies and children who are dying or have died.

Story

Dear Friends and Colleagues, my Son Lewis and I will be joined by Natalie and our Wates Group colleagues to complete the Yorkshire Three Peaks on Friday 4th September. We are raising funds to support bereaved Children.

Our family Story-

My beautiful Daughter, Stacey, aged 34 passed away on the 19th March 2026 following being diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer in June 2025.

She was incredibly brave throughout such a terrible time and faced chemotherapy and radiotherapy with such strength and determination.

In February this year, we were given the shocking news that the cancer had spread and that Stacey was too poorly to withstand further treatment. 💔

In the short time that she had left to live, Stacey organised her Wedding to Aiden, planned her own funeral and gave us all instructions on how to carry on in life without her.

One instruction in particular was that we should, ‘pour all the love we had for her into the little girls,’ her Daughter, Emilia and Nieces, Ella and Ivy. This is what’s keeping us going every day! I’m so so proud of her and how she faced everything with such strength.

Stacey was keen to ensure that we supported the work of Child Bereavement UK.

Grief changes everything.

At Child Bereavement UK, we support grieving children and young people (up to 25), and parents bereaved of a child to find hope.

Through free expert guidance, resources and compassionate support, we help people to rebuild their lives, in their own time.

Thank you to all the Team Members!
