Bristol Mind is a mental health charity for people in Bristol and the surrounding areas. We promote wellbeing and recovery through a range of services, including our MindLine helplines, Hate Crime service, counselling, and training. We're affiliated with Mind, but we're independently funded.

Story

Hello Everyone,

This is my first fundraising event for a charity that has helped my immensely over the years, not just for myself but my 3 children are also raising money for Bristol Mind by climbing Snowdon Mountain, the highest mountain in Wales and second highest in the UK, and we have been training every week now, carrying my 3 year old on my back, a 7 year old and 14 year old.

Mental Health a subject that I am extremely passionate about and a subject very close to my heart, with several people close to me suffering from severe mental health conditions, including myself. Mind have been incredibly helpful in our personal journey to finding help when needing answers and they just couldn't do enough. Their website have an amazing amount of information on there that covers a whole range of mental health symptoms.

As a qualified holistic health coach, I encounter many people with mental health severities. Being qualified in mental health first aid studied with Mind charity, along with my other mental health certificates, I am now better able to help and support others, in crisis situations, and have a level of understanding, and a non-judgemental view for others who are out there.

I want to break the stigma around people being able to talk about mental health and raise awareness to as many people as possible, and that everyone should feel comfortable speaking up about mental health.

My social media pages, Facebook, Instagram and Tiktok - thewildwellnesshealthcoach

Are all full of Free advice, and I have a women's support group on Facebook too, with a group of women who are all kind, supportive and understanding, and we openly talk abour sensitive subjects around mental health and those for our children. I have my website, again full of more information:
