Adorable Ajax needs your help š

Ajax is a three-year-old Old Tyme Bulldog with a face (and personality) you canāt help but fall in love with š. Unfortunately Ajax is having some problems with his right knee cap - it keeps popping out of place š«. The technical term is called luxated patella - also known as a dislocated kneecap. It's a condition where the kneecap shifts out of its normal position in the groove of the thigh bone. This can cause the dog to limp while walking, which is what Ajax is doing at the moment. Can you imagine how painful that must be? š.
Ajax has been to the vets to get his wee sore knee checked and the vets have advised we need an X-ray under general anaesthetic costing Ā£1070 and surgery to correct the issue costing approximately Ā£3600- Ā£4000 š±. As you all know, we are a small independent rescue who rely solely on donations from our amazing supporters. The donations are a vital part of our work as we are only able to help these pour souls if we have the funds to do so. Ajax, like many others, was saved from death row at the pound and YOU are the reason he's still alive today. As Ajax is currently in foster, ADDR cover all bills as per the foster contract. This is where, once again, we ask our amazing supporters to please help us out if possible. Could you skip your daily coffee from the cafe and donate the Ā£3 to help Ajax? We appreciate all donations - big or small š.
Here's what Ajax's foster mummy has to say about the handsome lad -
We first came across Ajax over a year ago on Any Dog'll Do Rescueās Facebook page, and he immediately caught our attention. At the time, we werenāt in a position to foster, but Ajaxās story stuck with us.
Recently, we found ourselves finally ready to open our homeāand our heartsāto fostering with intent to adopt. We knew Ajax was the one. From the moment we met him, he completely captured our hearts. He's a joyful, energetic boy who brings light and laughter to every day.
Ajax has a few favourite things: chewing his Kong or bone (especially when theyāre filled with puppy-safe peanut butter), playing tug of war (only with Callum, because in Ajaxās eyes, strength = fun), and soaking up all the cuddles and snuggles he can getāespecially from me. Heās incredibly affectionate and always seeks out love and attention.
Like many of us, the way to Ajaxās heart is through his stomach. Mealtimes are his favourite part of the day, and he never misses an opportunity to enjoy a treat. Though he probably shouldnāt, he loves lounging in the sunāoften stretching out in the grass with a frozen bone, completely content.
Ajax is also quite the adventurer. He adores car rides, especially with the window down and the breeze on his face. Forest walks are his absolute favouriteāhe loves to explore and sniff every hedge and trail he can find.
At home, Ajax is every bit the spoiled pup. Weāve discovered his morning routine includes grumbling until he gets his much-needed morning cuddles and bum rubs. Only then will he start his day. And if you ever need proof heās done his business in the gardenājust wait for the zoomies. He celebrates every time.
Ajax is more than a pet; heās family. A big, squishy boy full of energy, personality, and endless love.
Please donate if you can.
Many thanks
