On 25th February our family faced an unimaginable loss when our beloved Dad passed away.

He was the rock, heart and soul of our family, the person we turned to for wisdom, laughter and strength. His sudden passing has left an irreplaceable void in our lives that can never truly be filled.

Dad was not just a father but a true friend, a mentor and a provider for our family. Known for his kindness, warmth, humour and strength, he poured his heart into making life better for each of us. His love and support went beyond our family, he was someone everyone could count on, the kind of person who would drop everything to help anyone he could.

In April 2025 I’ll be lacing up my running shoes for the London Marathon, taking on the iconic 26.2 miles in memory of my wonderful Dad, Cliff Dottson!

This journey is about more than the miles, it’s a tribute to him and a way to give back to Phyllis Tuckwell, the hospice that gave us support, compassion and care during one of the hardest times in our lives.

Phyllis Tuckwell was there for my Dad and my family in ways we’ll never forget. The staff provided not only expert care but also kindness, comfort and an unending dedication to my Dad in his final days.

Running this marathon is my way of honouring his memory and giving back to a place that gave us so much. Every donation will go directly to Phyllis Tuckwell, helping them continue their vital work with families facing similar journeys.

My goal is to raise £2000 by race day. Your contribution, no matter the amount, will help provide care, support and compassion to families when they need it most.

With each step I take I’ll be carrying my Dad’s memory with me and honouring all the love, strength and resilience that he taught me. The pain I will no doubt endure will be nothing compared to what he went through. He never let this show and continued to put us, his family first. Well this is now my time to put him first!
