London Marathon 2024 · 21 April 2024 ·

The brain is the most complex organ in our body. It controls our emotions, senses and actions. So when it breaks down, we break down. We fund the best research to discover the causes, develop new treatments and improve the lives of those affected. Let’s unite to accelerate progress. Today.

Story

I'm running my first ever Marathon in London on April 21st for Brain Research UK!

I'm honoured to be running alongside (or behind) my wonderful friend, Nicola McShane, who is running in memory of her equally wonderful friend Susanne Adams who sadly passed away in June 2023 from a brain tumour.

Susanne - Miss Adams - was an incredible & inspirational teacher at my childrens school "Our Lady of Pity" and she touched the lives of everyone within the whole school community with her joie de vivre.

It is an honour to be able to run in memory of her and to raise money for this charity which is dedicated to funding research into neurological conditions to help people live better, for longer.

Nicola & I have been running together through highs, lows, loss and everything in between, along with other lovely friends. What started as a weekly pre breakfast jog has now ended up with us ready to face 26.2 miles ❤

Or at least we will be come 21st April!
