I have been given the opportunity to run the London Marathon again in April and have taken up the challenge. I’m not sure if ignorance is bliss as I know the blood, sweat and tears I will have to endure. So why am I choosing to put myself through this again? Well for a few reasons, the most important being it gives me the opportunity to raise money for the Mary Ann Evans Hospice. Also I’m fortunate enough to be fit and healthy and to be able to do this, if life has taught me anything over the past couple of years it’s that you don’t know what’s round the corner!

The Mary Ann Evans Hospice support patients, families and carers experience a journey towards end of life and into bereavement that is supported, comfortable, safe and personalised and in a place of their choice. This is such a good cause supporting people at such a crucial time, no one likes to think they will need help like this but we just don't know if and when we may need this.

Please show your support to myself for being crazy enough to put myself through the hard training of running a marathon (again), but more importantly to the Mary Ann Evans Hospice who do an amazing job every minute of every day.
