Story
We are the UK’s leading charity helping people to thrive after a brain injury. We provide innovative rehabilitation and ongoing support to ensure life after brain injury can be a life well lived.
Your support would enable us to offer the personalised, emotional, and rehabilitative care that helps people rediscover their confidence, rebuild their identity, and reconnect with the lives they once knew or begin to shape new ones filled with hope, purpose, and possibility.
This cause is especially close to our family's heart. On 23rd June, my sister's life changed drastically. After several weeks in hospital, she was discharged on 28th July, but sadly she was unable to return home. She is now being cared for at Brainkind, where she receives 24 hour nursing care and intensive daily rehabilitation including physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech and language therapy and neuropsychology support.
To show our appreciation and raise funds for this amazing charity, the Long boys are taking on a challenge to climb as many Wainwrights as we can this week.
Every donation will encourage us to go further, push harder, and take on even more peaks in support of Brainkind. Each summit we reach will be a tribute to the strength and determination my sister shows whilst living with a life changing neurological condition and to the outstanding work carried out by Brainkind every day.
Please support us if you can. Whether through a donation or by sharing our fundraiser, every contribution helps us reach our goal and supports the life-changing work of Brainkind.
Thank you from our family for your kindness, generosity and support. ❤️🥾⛰️
