I am taking part in this run to support Marie Curie, a charity that has been there for my family during some of our darkest times. Cancer has touched many lives, but for us it has had a profound and lasting impact.

Both my husband’s mum and my own mum were taken far too soon by cancer, and Marie Curie were there when we needed care, compassion and dignity the most. We have also experienced the devastating loss of our child to cancer, and I am currently still battling the disease myself.

Marie Curie’s support goes far beyond medical care – they offer comfort, kindness and reassurance to families when it matters most. This run is my way of giving something back and helping ensure others receive the same support we did.
