Story

I’m raising money for Macmillan Cancer Support because cancer has completely changed my life — and I know how much it matters to have support when everything feels overwhelming.

My primary cancer is cervical cancer. Despite treatment it spread to my womb — even after I had a hysterectomy — and then to my vaginal wall, bladder, bowel and pelvic lymph nodes, all complicated further by endometriosis. More recently it has also spread to my brain.

I’m now living with a terminal cancer diagnosis.

This isn’t just hospital appointments and scans it’s waking up most days in pain and extreme fatigue. It’s trying to do everyday things and realising my body won’t let me. The treatments have been brutal at times — tougher than the cancer itself — leaving me physically and mentally worn, and still not stopping the disease.

Cancer has taken my independence, my sense of safety in my own body, and the future I imagined. It’s affected my confidence, my relationships, my work, my peace of mind. I’ve felt fear, anger, grief and loneliness in ways that are impossible to explain unless you’ve lived it.

Through some of the darkest and most confusing moments, Macmillan were there. They helped me understand what was happening when my head couldn’t cope. They supported me emotionally when I felt overwhelmed or scared. They treated me like a person — not just a diagnosis. Macmillan provide practical, emotional and informational support for people living with cancer and their families at every stage of their journey.

This fundraising isn’t just for me. It’s for everyone fighting cancer, living with it, or being told life‑changing news they never expected it’s for families trying to stay strong and for people quietly falling apart behind closed doors. Cancer touches almost every family — and Macmillan are there to help people manage the emotional, practical and physical impact of this disease.

I’m doing STacy’s Drive For Life — a long‑distance charity drive across the UK in my beloved modified Focus ST, “STacy.” This drive captures everything I love about cars: long drives, late nights, silly challenges along the way, laughter, energy and community. I’ve taken STacy on road trips all over Europe — the Nürburgring, the French and Swiss Alps, Holland and a bunch of places in between — making memories that have meant the world to me.

Every mile of this journey is driven with joy, celebration and purpose, not just of cars but of life itself.

If you can donate, share, or support in any way, it truly means everything. 💚
