Story
STAND is a charity that aims to include, support and empower neurodivergent children and their families.
At CrossFit Haddington, our annual October Fundraising event is to raise needed funds for the wonderful charity, STAND.
An estimated 1,000,000 people of Scotland's population are neurodiverse, and more locally an estimated 20,000 people in East Lothian are neurodiverse.
STAND stands for "Stronger Together for Autism and Neurodivergence". Our challenge for our fundraising event at CFH is one where we will be Stronger Together!
The Challenge:
As a collective on Saturday 25 October, we will be deadlifting 1,000,000kgs! The catch: all deadlifts must be done with a teammate on the barbell (2 people each barbell) - Stronger Together!
We also will be accumulating 20,000 Burpees as a collective starting Monday 20 October and finishing on Saturday 25 October. The catch again: you must do your burpees synchro with a teammate - we're Stronger Together!
Saturday the 25th will be a 90s Aerobics Party theme! So come in your best 90s attire - the 90s tunes will be turned up! We'll have a bake sale, raffle, and activites for the kids as well. A fun day for all and all are welcome!
Let's do this and raise as much funds as we can for such a great cause!
