It's bewildering and unsettling for anyone going into hospital but especially for children and that is why we are a fundraising hospital. We raise funds to enhance the experience of our patients by providing state of the art medical equipment and facilities and creating a child-friendly environment.

Story

As you are all aware, my son Stanley was born with severe heart problems which required major surgery at 5 days old which saved his life. After three years of many appointments at BCH he was finally discharged and is now a healthy and happy little boy.

You will also probably know that Stanley's brother, Ernie was born with heart problems and having already had one operation, is awaiting further surgery to help him.

Stanley and I are taking part in the Teddy Bear Run - Telford, a 5km run/walk to raise funds for this amazing hospital which has helped and continues to help both of my young sons. Any donations, small or large, or even a share of this link will be greatly appreciated.

At Birmingham Children’s Hospital Charity, we believe there’s always more we can do for our sick kids and that’s why we will always strive to do more for our patients and families. It’s our mission to raise the vital funds needed to make a real difference to all who use our hospital.

Your support empowers us to take innovative approaches to treating some of the sickest children in the UK. Your fundraising enables us to make our hospital feel just like home. Your donations are helping us to find new ways to treat and cure childhood diseases.
