Stanley Paul's fundraiser for THE CHRISTIE CHARITY

St. Cuthbert’s Way · 23 August 2025
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
My mate of almost 30 years Lee Hewitt and myself are attempting to walk the 62 miles from Melrose in Scotland to Holy Island in England, the walk, named after the 7th. Century monk, St. Cuthbert, will hopefully be done over 5 days, dependant on my little legs holding out and where the tide is when we get to the coast!
Some of you will already know that earlier this year I had treatment for Prostate Cancer, which thankfully now I’m free from.
Whilst Prostate Cancer is in the spotlight at the moment, my walking partner Lee Hewitt and myself feel that any moneys raised through your generous donations, should go to the wider fund known as The Christie, this will therefore include ladies and children who sadly, are also affected by various cancers. Both of Lee’s parents and both of mine had cancer in their lives sadly, and we would like to help as many people as we can, not just those affected by Prostate Cancer. Please give what you can to help fight this dreadful disease, your donation goes towards treating someone, testing someone, or helping research towards a cure, many thanks for your time, please donate what you can.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
Melrose Abbey, the starting point.
The destination, Lindisfarne, Holy Island.
Hope we’re still smiling when we get there.
