Stannah's fundraiser for Katharine House Hospice - Banbury

Stannah Lifts, Distribution and Service is raising money for Katharine House Hospice - Banbury

4k Exercise Bike Challenge - Brackley · 24 August 2026

Katharine House provides specialist palliative care for adults with life-limiting conditions across North Oxfordshire and South Northamptonshire. We provide inpatient services, specialist nurses out in the community, a Living Well programme, a specialist hospital team and bereavement support.

Story

As part of the national Stannah 4K Ride, colleagues at our Brackley Branch are taking on their section of the 4,000 mile challenge. This is a distance equal to one full lap of Britain and the equivalent of 1.28 million lift journeys. The challenge will bring together more than 700 colleagues across Stannah Lifts Distribution and Service (LD&S), with one indoor exercise bike travelling to 12 Stannah sites across the UK. Each location has two weeks to complete its mileage target and raise funds for a local charity chosen by colleagues.

For the Brackley leg of the challenge, we're raising money for Katharine House Hospice who provide specialist palliative care for adults with incurable illnesses. Their amazing team supports the patient and their loved ones too, ensuring that every moment matters. Your donation will mean more people can receive this care.

Brackley is one of 12 Stannah sites taking part, each raising money for a charity chosen by colleagues. Together, we’re uniting as one national team to support causes that matter deeply to our communities.

Let’s make every mile count.

This challenge is about more than miles. It’s about unity, wellbeing, connection and giving back.
