As part of the national Stannah 4K Ride, colleagues at our Birmingham Branch are taking on their section of the 4,000 mile challenge. This is a distance equal to one full lap of Britain and the equivalent of 1.28 million lift journeys. The challenge will bring together more than 700 colleagues across Stannah Lifts Distribution and Service (LD&S), with one indoor exercise bike travelling to 12 Stannah sites across the UK. Each location has two weeks to complete its mileage target and raise funds for a local charity chosen by colleagues.

For the Birmingham leg of the challenge, we're raising money for LoveBrum an independent Birmingham-based charity that supports small, often overlooked grassroots projects working to improve lives across the city. They focus on funding causes that tackle key social issues such as homelessness, mental health, youth support, and community wellbeing. What sets LoveBrum apart is their commitment to transparency -100% of public donations go directly to the projects they fund, with operational costs covered separately. Through community voting and partnerships with local businesses and supporters, LoveBrum helps shine a spotlight on hidden needs within Birmingham and enables meaningful, ground-level change.

Birmingham is one of 12 Stannah sites taking part, each raising money for a charity chosen by colleagues. Together, we’re uniting as one national team to support causes that matter deeply to our communities.
