Story
As part of the national Stannah 4K Ride, colleagues at our Dartford Branch are taking on their section of the 4,000 mile challenge. This is a distance equal to one full lap of Britain and the equivalent of 1.28 million lift journeys. The challenge will bring together more than 700 colleagues across Stannah Lifts Distribution and Service (LD&S), with one indoor exercise bike travelling to 12 Stannah sites across the UK. Each location has two weeks to complete its mileage target and raise funds for a local charity chosen by colleagues.
For the Dartford leg of the challenge, we're raising money for We Are Beams, a local based charity that supports disabled children, young people and their families. The charity provides a range of services for children with physical disabilities, learning disabilities, sensory impairments, autism, ADHD, complex health needs, and other additional needs. The charity was founded in 1996 by a group of parents who wanted better support for their disabled children and has since grown to support hundreds of families across Kent and Medway.
Dartford is one of 12 Stannah sites taking part, each raising money for a charity chosen by colleagues. Together, we’re uniting as one national team to support causes that matter deeply to our communities.
Let’s make every mile count.
This challenge is about more than miles. It’s about unity, wellbeing, connection and giving back.
Thank you for your support.
