RBFRS Station to Station Ultramarathon · 12 May 2025

Fire Fighters Charity provides care and support to the UK’s fire family. It helps with any health and wellbeing challenges firefighters, control staff, and everyone working in – or retired from – the UK’s fire services, as well as their families, may face - during and after service

Story

On the 12th May, Firefighter Ainsworth and Firefighter Foley will be running an ultramarathon (58.2miles/93.8km) across the county of Berkshire to visit all 12 RBFRS wholetime fire stations within 12 hours of running time.

The Fire Fighters Charity offers specialist lifelong support for all of the UK fire service community. They empower and encourage all fire service staff to look after their mental, physical and social wellbeing.

Firefighter Ainsworth recently used The Firefighter Charity after occurring a severe injury. With the help of physical therapists at one of the charities centres, he was able to get specialist assistance to aid his recovery in returning to full strength and full duties as a firefighter.

The target is to raise 12 hundred GBP (£1200) in aid of The Firefighter Charity to help them continue providing services to currently serving and retired members of the UK Fire Service community.

Any donations are greatly appreciated, thank you
