There is a tradition during Holy Week of dedicating a lily to those who have died. The lilies will garland the Altar of Repose, which represents the Garden of Gethsemane, where Jesus prepared for his death: the names of our loved ones will be placed there with him. This is a tradition we keep at St Catherine of Siena church every year.
