Story
The Stedfest began as a heartfelt tribute to James Stedeford, aiming to keep his memory alive whilst making a tangible difference. Every year we will gather to celebrate his spirit through music & togetherness, all while raising crucial funds for the British Liver Trust.
James was, and remains one of the best humans many of us have ever known. He was a beacon of resilience, love and kindness. Despite numerous health struggles with his eyes over the years, he faced everything with immense bravery and simply got on with life. Even when he was taken ill on the last family holiday in Lanzarote in July 2025 he fought endless tests, procedures, pain & discomfort with positivity & that cheeky smile of his. Unfortunately it was all too much for his body and it shut down on 22nd July 2025. He was surrounded by his family and drifted off peacefully in his sleep.
Passing at 43 years old is nothing less than a tragedy which is why we will continue to make him proud and tell his story for years to come.

For anyone interested in joining the event whether for this year or next, please feel free to check out what we are doing here: www.thestedfest.co.uk
