Story

On the 5th October 2023 a small group of serving RAF personnel will be attempting a stair climb challenge at the Gherkin tower in central London in support of the RAF Benevolent Fund and in celebration of the 70th anniversary of No 1 AIDU (Aeronautical Information Documents Unit)

The challenge will consist of ascending the internal staircase a minimum total of 70 times. Each individual will ascend the full height of the Gherkin at least 25 times each.

The RAF Benevolent fund provides lifelong support to serving and ex-serving RAF personnel and their families. They consider any request for assistance, however big or small, providing a tailor made approach to each individual situation.
