Locally, as part of Steeple Bumpstead First Responders our group is on call to be able to respond to 999 calls within about a 10 mile radius of the village. We are volunteers so give up our time to not only attend calls but to engage in regular training and also community outreach such as teaching First Aid and CPR to the community.

So far this year we have trained over 150 children as part of Beavers/Cubs/Scouts in basic First Aid, CPR and Defibrillators and have taught 2 classes at Steeple Bumpstead Primary School.

We are hoping to be able to offer CPR/Defibrillator sessions for adults in the near future in locations around the village. To be able to provide these classes we do use equipment such as manikins, training defibrillators, etc. which are provided by our own fundraising.
