Stella's fundraiser for Dementia Adventure

Firewalk · 19 July 2025
My parents, Tony and Diana, both lived with dementia in the last years of their lives, just two of the estimated 900,000 people in the UK with dementia. It's a diagnosis that often leads to isolation indoors. Dementia Adventure thinks differently about dementia and has a positive focus on the individual, not the condition. Connection with nature has positive health benefits and can even slow down the progression of dementia symptoms. Through holidays, training and research, they remove barriers, improve confidence, and increase opportunities for people to stay active, keep connected to family and friends, and retain a sense of adventure in their lives.
I'm joining the intrepid care team at Right at Home and supporting Dementia Adventure by walking on hot coals in July 2025 not only to conquer fears but to also raise valuable funds to support more adventures for those living with dementia.
