Story
I'm completing two events this year to raise funds for Combat Stress.
The first is an event called Endure24. I'm part of a team of 5, who will be running 8km loops non-stop on a course in Reading. I'll probably end uprunning six of these loops, so 48km! This is happening 7-8th June 2025.
The second event is the Bacchus Half. This is a challenging, trailly half marathon, in (optional) fancy dress, where there is a Wine and snack stop every 2-3km. I feel this is an event I have been preparing for all my life! This is happening on Sunday 7th September, at Denbies Vineyard, near Box Hill.
I'd love your support of these two events, so please do donate, large or small. If I get to £250, I will do a training half before Baccus with wine, and document it. If I get to £500, I will wear fancy dress.
More details on the charity I am running for below:
The Combat Stress are the UK’s leading charity for veterans’ mental health.
For over a century, they’ve helped former servicemen and women deal with trauma-related mental health problems such as anxiety, depression and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
They’re on a mission to raise awareness that invisible injuries can be just as hard to cope with as physical ones. So when a veteran is having a tough time, they’re there to help them tackle the past and take on the future.
