Story

Hello! I probably haven't mentioned it, but I'm 50 this year, and am attempting to complete 50 significant events in order to celebrate this!
One of these is to run Endure24 again. This is a 24 hour relay race, where my team of four are going to be running 8km loops of a trailly path as many times as we can for the charity, Sport in Mind.
I hated sport at school. Hated it. I selected to do tennis at secondary school, as we went across the road unsupervised for two hours, where I messed around and smoked. As a punishment, the PE teacher would make us trail run on this woody copse. Ugh.
Luckily, we've moved on a lot from that (I hope), and I now LOVE being outdoors and love trail running, so that worked out well.
I have found running calms me down ,settles my brain, and clears my head, and it really does have the power to transform.
If everyone I know donated just one pound, I'd raise about £78, so please dig deep and donate a fiver.
My chosen charity: Sport in Mind, who use sport and physical activity to support people struggling with their mental health, helping them build confidence, resilience, and hope.
