Steph's fundraiser for St. Wilfrid’s Hospice (Chichester)

Steph Aburrow is raising money for St. Wilfrid’s Hospice (Chichester)
In memory of My Daddy (and my Nana)

Brighton Marathon 2026 · 12 April 2026 ·

St Wilfrid’s Hospice provides tailored end of life care both in the community and at our Hospice, supporting our patients living with a terminal illness, and their family and friends. We rely on the generous support of our community to raise the £10million we need each year to fund our services.

Story

In 2024 my siblings and I experienced the hardest year of our lives when we suddenly lost our dad to the evil beast that is cancer.

Life will simply never be the same again, our hearts hurt and long for a cuddle, chat (or even an argument!) with him every single day.

The hospice have always been a part of lives and our incomparable Nana Pat will forever be a part of the foundations of the organisation. We are beyond proud of her for being the very first matron when the hospice opened in 1987 and dedicating so many years to building it up and caring for so many people and families.

Niether my Nana or my Daddy should have left us yet, but we take comfort knowing we couldn’t have asked for a better place to care for them both is their final days.

We will forever be indebted to St Wilfrid’s Hospice and I will always do whatever I can to support them… so, trainers back on here we go!
