Our dear friend G has Stage 4 lung cancer and is currently undergoing immunotherapy to keep this at bay for as long as possible. He is now just over a year into his treatment and, with the exception of a few side affects and tiredness, he is coping well.

He, and his wife Sarah, have received amazing support from our local charity, The Hummingbird Centre, in terms of providing them both with emotional support and counselling. We have seen first hand what this means for both G and Sarah, and hence our reason to choose The Hummingbird Centre as our charity of choice to help enable them to continue their amazing work in supporting others in need in our local community.

To raise much needed funds, we will be running the Paris Marathon on 12th April 2026. We'd like to raise as much as possible and we are extremely grateful for any donation.

Update: having successfully completed the Paris Marathon Mike is also running the Barnstaple marathon on 27th Sept 26 to continue the fund raising
