Story
On 11th September 2026, I’ll be doing something that absolutely nobody who knows me would ever expect…I'm climbing Snowdon. In the dark. Entirely voluntarily!
Let’s be clear...I don’t have an athletic bone in my body. I'm not a “hiker”. I barely qualify as a “walker” unless there’s coffee at the end!
So how did this happen?!
Somehow, I’ve signed up alongside 24 amazing colleagues, inspired by the people I work with at Domino’s and the incredible things we can do when we come together to support something bigger than ourselves. Well, it seemed like a great idea at the time?!
Why I'm doing it:
I’m raising money for Teenage Cancer Trust, a charity that makes sure young people facing cancer don’t have to go through it alone.
As a mum, I can’t imagine what families go through when a young person is diagnosed with cancer and if me climbing a mountain in the middle of the night can help in any small way, then it’s worth it (even if I question my life choices at 2am halfway up Snowdon!).
I’m aiming to raise £500 and I’d be hugely grateful for any support.
Every donation (no matter how small) will help Teenage Cancer Trust provide vital care and support for young people who need it far more than I need a comfortable night’s sleep.
If nothing else, please consider donating for the sheer entertainment value of me attempting this.
I thank you so much for your support and it really does mean a lot. I'll keep you updated along the way...assuming I make it back down?!?
