Story
Connecting two of the world’s most chic capital cities I will be cycling nearly 100 miles a day for three days as I embark on the challenge of a lifetime for Alex’s Wish.
Cycling from London to Paris is one of the great cycle experiences in Europe. Passing through picturesque Kent countryside, we cross the Channel and continue through the small villages and medieval market towns of Northern France. With long days in the saddle and some strenuous hill-climbs, I will need to train hard to take on this challenge to help all those families affected by Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.
I haven't ridden a bike properly in decades and as I write this at the end of February I don't have long to train for this either!! I am so grateful to those that have lent me a bike, padded clothing, advice and moral support so far however, as this is one of the biggest challenges of my life, I want to make it as financially worthwhile for the charity as I possibly can given some of it will be covering the costs of stop overs and transport.
I will be so grateful for any donations no matter how small as it all goes towards such an amazing cause helping boys to fight this disease and live a longer life!
I couldn't imagine my gorgeous nephews being affected by anything like this and they, along with Alex's mum's strength and determination, are what inspire me to support this charity!
Thanks so much for reading!!
