Brighton Marathon 2025 · 6 April 2025 ·

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

On Sunday 6th April 2025, I’m running the Brighton Marathon to raise funds for the Alzheimer’s Society. As much as I’m doing it for the physical and mental challenge, it’s about making a difference in the lives of those impacted by Alzheimer's and other dementias.

Every 3 minutes, someone in the UK develops dementia, a condition that robs individuals of their memories, their independence, and their very sense of self. Running 26.2 miles is a drop in the ocean when comparing it to what those families go through.

The Alzheimer’s Society is committed to providing life changing support to those living with dementia, as well as their families and caregivers.

I’m asking for your help, whether through a donation or sharing my campaign, to fund research, provide support and bring a bit of hope to the people suffering - bringing us one step closer to changing the course of this heartbreaking disease and help create a future where no one has to face Alzheimer’s alone!
