I am taking part in the Carry the Ball walk for Everybreath Lung Cancer charity & we will be walking from stadium to stadium to raise funds & awareness. I, personally will be walking the last leg from Crystal Palace Stadium to Bromley Football Club, Hayes Lane.

The Walk starts at

- Cray Wanderers to Charlton Athletic

- Charlton Athletic to Millwall

- Millwall to Crystal Palace

- Crystal Palace to Bromley

As most of you will know I lost my wonderful husband Alan last year to lung cancer, which was shocking in that he was never a smoker. It turns out about 20 percent of cancers are non-smoking related. Every Breath Lung Cancer Support Group is a South London charity that provides support to lung cancer patients and their families, so it was a Godsend that Alan and I found sanctuary and support within this inspirational group throughout his treatment.

Lung cancer is particularly hard to diagnose until the latter stages making it difficult for a cure, Our goal is to raise additional funds for academic research and early diagnostics to improve the lives of those battling lung cancer.

There will be a Reception at the end of the Walk at Bromley Football Club where I hope some of you will be able to join me at the end of the day, details of which will be available later on.
