The charity began in 2014 with my family and a couple of friends. Sunrise Africa Relief (SAR) seeks a world of ethical action, social justice, self-reliance and opportunity. SAR creates opportunities for human development, community welfare and social progress. www.sunriseafricarelief.org.uk

A few key projects we have helped fund:

2017 Borehole construction for fresh water to Barlastone Park School - Makale Village, Zambia

2017 sponsored four children from orphanage towards their further education - Kampala, Uganda

2019 construction of two grinding mills and funds for maintenance Sandwe, Zambia

2021 Washable Sanitary Pad Project (WaSPP) WaSPP helps women achieve independence and confidence, while enabling girls to continue their education Kafue, Zambia

2021 Makale Village Medical Center - constructed a labor ward for expecting mothers as well as a shelter for a place to relax post giving birth - Makale Village, Zambia

2024 Makale clinic maternity ward, Zambia and a community hall construction project in Nyamphande, Zambia - the center will be used for teaching classes in organic farming and beekeeping as well as a place to socialize

2025 (this challenge) - Provide electricity to the Nyamphande community center and any surplus money will go towards drilling a borehole/well for irrigation needs.
