Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
In April 2025 my nan was taken into hospital - she was diagnosed with cancer which was advanced and not treatable. Unfortunately within a few short weeks she deteriorated but we were fortunate to be able to get her in to the care of Ardgowan Hospice for her final weeks. The staff at Ardgowan gave her end of life care with dignity and compassion. There was serenity and peace for her final days with us, and as a family we took great comfort from this. We cannot praise the people who dedicate themselves to palliative care highly enough and it this is the reason we have decided to do the Kiltwalk - not only in memory of our wonderful mum and Nan but for those who care for families during one of the hardest moments in life.
