Team: Team fundraising for SUPPORT OUR PARAS

Paras 10

The average cost of a posh coffee is £3:00 and we are asking you to donate the cost of your brew so that we can continue providing free support and information services to all those whose lives are affected by Multiple System Atrophy (MSA).

Story

The Paras’10 TAB (Tactical Advance to Battle) is the same gruelling 10-mile cross-country challenge every Parachute Regiment recruit must conquer to earn their maroon beret. They must complete the course in under 1 hour 50 minutes, carrying a 35lb rucksack.

My fellow Warriors and I took on that exact test of physical and mental endurance. We carried 35lb bergens, wore military-style boots, and battled through the same punishing terrain—crossing the finish line within the three-hour cut-off.

For a 47-year-old mum of two, this was one of the toughest challenges I’ve ever faced—and I’m proud to say I completed it in 2 hours and 46 minutes with 17kgs on my back.

But for too many people with MSA, pain is a daily event, and there are no medals for getting through another day.

We’re raising funds for MSA Trust and SUPPORT OUR PARAS—two charities doing vital work. We’ve already raised £222 for former members of the Parachute Regiment who’ve needed our support, and now we’re turning our efforts toward helping another kind of hero through the MSA Trust.

Please consider supporting me and my friend Shaz, who's mum battles this disease every day. Every donation—big or small—makes a real impact. Your contribution will help our final nominated charity continue their incredible work supporting those who need it most.

Thank you so much for your generosity and encouragement.
