1 child enter care in the UK every 15 minutes. Often, they are moved under emergency circumstances with a little more than the clothes on their backs and less than 24h notice. A Comfort Cases is rucksack of bespoke belongings to call their own, eliminating the use of bin bags for every transition.

Story

When I was 15 I was put into care. I had 2 binbags for my suitcase along with my school bag with my GCSE revision. I had to travel to different counties by train and walk to my high school with these bags. You can only imagine how humiliated I felt walking through the school gates with my peers and teachers seeing me is such a state.

Unfortunately, this isn't new to children and teenagers entering the system. 80% of children have reports to have their belongings in bin bags when the move into their placement with 3/5 children stating their items have been lost or damaged while moving. No child or young person should still be experiencing this when entering the care system.
