We are moving further, faster to help everyone affected by a brain tumour

Story

I am cycling 141 miles from one coast to another over 3 days - Morecambe to Scarborough at the end of June 2023. I am also completing the 85 mile Etape Caledonia on 14th May.

I have still been cycling throughout my treatment, but this will be a big challenge for me having only finished all my treatment for a Brain Tumour in April this year.

The reason why this is so dear to me, is that in 2021, 1 month after turning 50, I went to A&E after suffering a massive headache that came out of nowhere.

24 hours later, I received the devastating news that I had a brain tumour.

I underwent brain surgery in January 2022, followed by 6 weeks of daily radiotherapy.

I am now just coming to the end of 12 months of chemotherapy.

I feel humbled that everything went well and I have still been able to work full time and continue my passion of cycling.

Through this happening to me, I have learnt so much about brain tumours. They are one of the biggest killers to under 25’s and so underfunded and the treatment has not changed in many years.

I feel so fortunate to be here and been able to do something to raise some money for the amazing brain tumour charity.

I would be so grateful if you would donate to this cause so close to my heart.
