The Wolverhampton & District MS Therapy Centre was established in 1986 to provide therapy and support to people with Multiple Sclerosis and their families. We provide treatments, guidance, moral and practical support for persons suffering from Multiple Sclerosis and other illnesses.

Story

As I prepare for the Brighton Marathon on April 6th, 2025, I invite you to join me in making a difference. My goal is to raise £1,000 in order to support the essential services at the Wolverhampton & District MS Therapy Centre. This centre is used by my uncle, Ray Skingsley who lives with Multiple Sclerosis. The MS Therapy Centre delivers crucial assistance to him and others in providing a vital lifeline for everyone with the condition.

Your support can help them ensure that no one faces their journey alone; together we can inspire hope and healing within their community.

Join me in this vital cause—every donation counts towards creating a brighter future for those affected by Multiple Sclerosis.

The Wolverhampton & District MS Therapy Centre is a beacon of hope for those living with Multiple Sclerosis and other lifelong neurological and physical conditions. The Multiple Sclerosis National Therapy Centres (MSNTC), are guided by their expertise to provide essential therapies to their patients. With approximately 140,000 individuals affected by Multiple Sclerosis in the UK, their Centre stands as a vital resource not only for MS but also for those battling cancer, fibromyalgia, sports injuries, and more recently, long COVID.

Located in Tettenhall, Wolverhampton, they serve a diverse community that extends beyond their local area, welcoming patients from the West Midlands, Staffordshire, Shropshire, Worcester, and even Wales. The Centre operates on a self-referral basis; this means that anyone can access therapies without needing a referral from a healthcare professional. This accessibility is crucial as they strive to support not just the patients but also their families and carers who often face challenges in coping with these diagnoses.

At the heart of their mission is the belief that caring is as important as curing. While advancements have been made in treating conditions like cancer and COPD, there remains no cure for Multiple Sclerosis. Therefore, alongside providing therapies such as physiotherapy and reflexology, they focus on holistic support for both patients and their loved ones.

One of their key offerings is Oxygen Treatment. This innovative therapy utilizes pure oxygen at higher than atmospheric pressure within an enclosed chamber. The process enhances oxygen absorption throughout the body’s fluids and tissues—especially beneficial for areas with reduced blood flow—stimulating healing in damaged cells and organs.
