Stephen is climbing Kilimanjaro and supporting Climbers Against Cancer

Stephen Chapman is raising money for Climbers Against Cancer
To raise funds & awareness concerning cancer, for the benefit of research into prevention, causes & treatments of the disease, as well as for activities that can help sufferers & their families cope emotionally and physically with the challenges of living with & beyond a cancer diagnosis & treatment

Story

In September 2026 I will be flying out to Tanzania to climb Kilimanjaro, the highest mountain in Africa with a height of 5895m above sea level. I have chosen to join an expedition to climb this mountain by the more technical Western Breach route which encompasses a grade one scramble on Summit day to reach the top.

Cancer affects us all and although I have not had to deal with this disease myself I know family and friends who have had to and sadly we have lost a few of those people to Cancer. I have found that, for me, being in the mountains has helped me cope with stress and losses, because my mountains have helped me so much I am supporting the charity Climbers Against Cancer and hope to raise a good amount for them so any support you can give would be extremely appreciated.

Please keep an eye on this page as I will be posting updates on my training and adventures that lead me to this mountain.

As an aside, this trip is being completely self funded so every penny raised on this Just Giving page goes to the charity and does not pay for the expedition.
